2024 Football Parking

Tennessee Athletics has finalized plans to implement a simplified football parking process beginning with the 2024 Football season. The impending changes stem from more than a year of careful analysis and research, SEC and national peer benchmarking, and much internal discussion.  Tennessee Athletics staff will work proactively to contact impacted Tennessee Football season ticket holders in the coming months to talk through these changes, and how it impacts their respective accounts.

NEW 2024 Model

Minimum Qualification:

All season ticket holders that wish to request parking must have at least $100 in Football Priority Fund contributions or a $100 My All donation to qualify.

Premium Season Ticket Holder Parking Impact:

The new model will maintain premium parking qualifications for the Skybox, West Club, East Club, Lower West Club, and Tennessee Terrace as your number of tickets will equate to the same number of eligible parking passes to request (Please see below). These passes will be able to be requested in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 lot.

Skybox: 1 pass per 4 premium season tickets

West Club: 1 pass per 2  premium season tickets

East Club: 1 pass per 2 premium season tickets

Lower West Club: 1 pass per 2 premium season tickets

Tennessee Terrace: 1 pass per 2 premium season tickets

Non-Premium Season Ticket Holder Impact:

Accounts with non-premium season tickets will have their parking eligibility and quantity of parking passes determined by the number of tickets on their account.

1 pass can be requested per 4-7 non-premium season tickets.

2 passes can be requested per 8-11 non-premium season tickets.

3 passes can be requested per 12-15 non-premium season tickets.

4 passes can be requested per 16-19 non-premium season tickets.

*If an account has less than 4 non-premium season tickets but has a donor rank <1,000, they will be able to request 1 pass in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 parking location.

*Accounts with less than 4 non-premium season tickets, that are ranked >1,000, will be able to request 1 pass but in a Tier 2 parking location (see below for additional information).

Accessible Parking Requests:

Accessible parking takes the place of a paid, parking request. If you are eligible for one parking permit, it can either be an accessible request or a paid request – but not both. Parking Services will accept accessible parking applications from April 1st – May 31st. For more information on the required documents and deadlines, please click here.

RV/Motorhome Parking Requests:

Eligible football season ticket holders may request RV/Motorhome parking in lieu of a traditional parking pass. All RV/Motorhome requests are filled in donor rank order, and it is possible that demand will exceed available spaces. If you would like to request an RV/Motorhome parking pass for the 2024 football season, please click here or call the Tennessee Fund at 865-974-1218 for more information.

Location of Parking Passes:

The donor’s parking location will be determined strictly by Tennessee Fund donor rank as of May 1, 2024. Annual priority levels will no longer be a factor in the parking process.

  • Tier 1 Parking:

Accounts with 4+ non-premium tickets, accounts with less than 4 non-premium tickets but have a top 1,000 donor rank, and accounts with premium seating will be able to request a pass(s) in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 parking location.

Tier 1 Lots: Circle Park, 9, 9B, C15, G5/30, 30A, G10, G10T, G3, G1, G4, 7A, 23B, G16, 22, RecSports, 25, 11th St. Garage, C21 White Avenue Garage.

Tier 2 Lots: G17, AG Campus, Lot 14, Locust St. Garage, Lot 40, UT Creamery.

All lots are subject to change.

  • Tier 2 Parking:

Customers with tickets in the North Social Deck will be able to request parking in a Tier 1 (4 or more total non-premium tickets) or Tier 2 (fewer than 4 total non-premium tickets) parking location, in accordance to the number of tickets they have.

Tier 2 Lots: G17, AG Campus, Lot 14, Locust St. Garage, Lot 40, UT Creamery.

All lots are subject to change.

Customers with tickets in the North Social Deck will be able to request parking in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 parking location, in accordance to the number of tickets they have.

Three-Year Parking Location Lock:

This new parking model will be in effect for the 2024 season. Starting with the 2025 parking allocation process, parking locations will be locked-in for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 football seasons. You will “renew” your parking pass for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. The yearly cost for a parking pass may vary each year.

Each year, the Tennessee Fund may lose lots due to various circumstances, including new campus and athletic construction, in accordance with the campus master plan. In the event that happens, the Tennessee Fund will work with impacted donors to find alternative parking locations. To be eligible to renew your parking, you must renew your football season tickets. We will go through the donor selection process for parking, for the 2028 season.

Opportunities to Improve Donor Rank:

Under the new parking model, donor rank becomes even more important. As we prepare for this change in 2024, we wanted to make you aware of philanthropic giving opportunities to potentially improve your donor rank. Please keep in mind that donations do not guarantee parking locations; however, improving your donor rank can potentially expand your parking options. All philanthropic donations are 100% tax-deductible and will increase your donor priority points! Make a gift by May 1, 2024 for it to be factored into the parking selection process. FAQ

The new parking process will be implemented prior to the 2024 Football season.

For the 2023 season, we were unable to fulfill all parking requests. With fewer than 10,000 available parking spaces for season ticket holders and Tennessee Fund donors, our demand greatly exceeded our limited supply. More than 800 season ticket holder accounts that requested parking didn’t receive it for 2023.

We are making this change to simplify the parking request and allocation process, which will alleviate confusion for our season ticket holders.

Following the renewal deadline, requests for parking will be sent to season ticket holders. Once all requests are received, we will go through our allocation process in donor rank order. Given the nature of the requests, there is a high possibility that our demand will exceed our supply in Tier 1 and Tier 2 lots, and some season ticket holders who requested parking will not receive a parking pass for the 2024 season.

Donor rank is the best method for allocating parking, because it considers the lifetime giving for a particular account and ranks them accordingly. This puts an emphasis on loyalty and longevity of giving, as well as leadership annual giving.

Starting with the 2025 parking allocation process, parking locations will be locked-in for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 football seasons. A donor will “renew” their respective parking pass(s) for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. To be eligible to renew parking, football season tickets must be renewed. We will go through the donor selection process for parking, for the 2028 season.

The proposed change is better because it will prevent our season ticket holders and our staff from having to reallocate parking on a yearly basis. We will forego the “request” process and the “selection” process because parking will be renewable in the same location for qualified accounts.

Donor rank will be locked for the parking selection process on May 1. Any final My All donations or Shareholders Society commitments will need to be made prior to this to be factored into your rank for the parking selection process.

We will maintain a parking relocation request list. This list will be maintained in donor rank order. Should any parking passes become available, we will review our relocation request list in donor rank order to re-assign parking passes while we are in the “3-year locked parking” window.

Our accessible parking model will remain the same for the 2024 season. Each year (even during the location lock) season ticket holders will send in their respective documents and the TN Fund will work in conjunction with UT Parking services to assign. The assignment of an accessible parking pass is not meant to be an “additional” pass, it is meant to be in place of a parking pass which is obtained under the normal allocation model. No matter your quantity of tickets, you will be eligible to request accessible parking. Location assignments will not be affected by Tier 1 and Tier 2 lot locations. For example, if you have 2 season tickets and request an accessible parking pass, you will still have the opportunity to be allocated a pass in G10 (accessible spaces) or Ag Campus depending on your donor rank.

Yes, this same process will be implemented for Vol and Lady Vols basketball for the 2024-25 seasons.

Your parking pass will be selected in donor rank order via our online interactive parking selection map after we have concluded the parking pass request process.

The parking selection process is slated to begin Spring 2024.

No, donors will be required to keep parking passes in their originally allocated account, during the 3-year location lock.

Season ticket holders are encouraged to make a tax-deductible gift to the My All Campaign to boost their donor rank. Season ticket holders could also join the Shareholder Society, which is a 5-year capital gift commitment.

Additional information on the future capacity and structure of the G10 parking garage will be released before the start of the 2024 parking selection process.
